3.5km from the Snow Farm base, the Meadow hut sleeps 20 people in an open plan setting and is nestled beside the roaring Meg River. With good insulation and solar lighting, and a mezzanine this hut is ideal for group trips.  

Access the hut by cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in winter and hiking or mountain biking in summer.

Meadow Hut has cutlery, plates, pots, pans, mugs, water (in containers) and full gas hobs to cook on. We also supply dish-washing detergent, tea towels and an on-site toilet. Solar lighting will keep the hut illuminated at night -- no candles are permitted at the huts due to the potential fire risk. 

Winter:

• In winter, you must be checked in at Snow Farm by 12:30pm and have your bags checked in by 1:00pm. Management reserves the right to cancel your booking and provide no refund if you do not meet these terms. 
  
  

• To stay at the hut in winter all participants need valid trail passes. We provide overnight packages for hut guests in winter for trail passes and rentals. The overnight special is from 12:00 pm to 12:00 pm the following day.

• Our lessons for hut guests are at 12pm and can be booked as part of our overnight experience package. 
  
  

Summer:

• In summer, you will not be met by any of our staff, we will maintain the huts with gas, water and toilet paper, and we expect guests to leave them as they are found, clean and tidy for the next guests.

• We permit 4WD access in summer to exclusive bookings with prior permission. There is a $500 fine plus any incurred trail damage for any unauthorised vehicles. 

• During summer, there is no gear transport to and from the huts - you must carry in and carry out everything you take with you, including rubbish. 

• No trail passes are needed during summer, however there is a $20 road toll to be paid at the honesty box at the bottom of our access road by the gate or online. 

All rubbish must be taken out with you. No outdoor fires permitted at any time of the year.
