Staying at Meadow or Musterers huts? We can transfer your bags to and from our base. We don't deliver to Bob and Daisy Lee huts, but we can take them to Meadow or Musterers for you and you can take them from there. 

$25 = return bag transfer

Things to know: 

• The price of a bag transfer is per bag, not per person.
  
  
• We have a strict bag weight of 15kgs. This is to reduce risk of injury to our team as they can be lifting 40-50 bags daily. If your bag is over 15kgs we will kindly ask you to re-pack and remove some items. Or book a second bag. 
  
  
• Bags must be checked in at our base by 1pm at the latest to be loaded onto the snowmobile and taken to the huts - there are no exceptions on this.
  
  
• Bags must be ready at 9am at the hut for collection, and they will be back at base at or before 11 am. 
  
  
• Bags are transported on an open flat deck and trailer, they will be exposed to the elements. We will do our best to keep them dry, but often bags will get snow on them. Make sure your bag is lined or bring a bag cover if you are concerned about anything getting wet.
  
  
• A chilli bin or box of groceries is considered a bag, however it must be sealed. (No open containers). 
  
  
• All equipment must be contained inside your bag or suitable container, not tied to the outside of your bag. 
  
  
• Liquids must be contained in sealed containers. 
  
  
• We reserve the right to refuse to take your bag if we deem it a potential hazard to our staff, equipment or other peoples' belongings. 

3.5km from the Snow Farm base, the Meadow hut sleeps 20 people in an open plan setting and is nestled beside the roaring Meg River. With good insulation and solar lighting, and a mezzanine this hut is ideal for group trips.  

Access the hut by cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in winter and hiking or mountain biking in summer.

Meadow Hut has cutlery, plates, pots, pans, mugs, water (in containers) and full gas hobs to cook on. We also supply dish-washing detergent, tea towels and an on-site toilet. Solar lighting will keep the hut illuminated at night -- no candles are permitted at the huts due to the potential fire risk. 

Winter:

• In winter, you must be checked in at Snow Farm by 12:30pm and have your bags checked in by 1:00pm. Management reserves the right to cancel your booking and provide no refund if you do not meet these terms. 
  
  

• To stay at the hut in winter all participants need valid trail passes. We provide overnight packages for hut guests in winter for trail passes and rentals. The overnight special is from 12:00 pm to 12:00 pm the following day.

• Our lessons for hut guests are at 12pm and can be booked as part of our overnight experience package.

• In summer, you will not be met by any of our staff, we will maintain the huts with gas, water and toilet paper, and we expect guests to leave them as they are found, clean and tidy for the next guests.

• We permit 4WD access in summer to exclusive bookings with prior permission. There is a $500 fine plus any incurred trail damage for any unauthorised vehicles. 

• During summer, there is no bag transfer to and from the huts - you must carry in and carry out everything you take with you, including rubbish. 

• No trail passes are needed during summer, however there is a $20 road toll to be paid at the honesty box at the bottom of our access road by the gate or online.

6km from the Snow Farm Base, the Bob Lee hut sleeps seven people and takes in views of the Mt. Aspiring, Pisa Range and the Southern Alps. 

Access the hut by cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in winter and hiking or mountain biking in summer.

Bob Lee hut features a gas cooker, log burner, firewood, and a small range of cooking and cutlery equipment. All you need to bring is food, drinks, a sleeping bag and your overnight things. For those who haven’t been to an alpine hut before, there will be no mains electricity, no running water and a long-drop toilet outside. Solar lighting will keep the hut illuminated at night -- no candles are permitted at the huts due to the potential fire risk.

6km from the Base, the Daisy Lee hut sleeps six people (three bunk beds) and views the Pisa Range and the Southern Alps, including an incredible view of Mount Aspiring. The hut features a sink and a gas cooker and has a wood fireplace.

Daisy Lee hut is fully equipped with cutlery, plates, pots, pans, mugs and full gas hobs to cook on. We also supply dish-washing detergent, tea towels and an on-site toilet.  No candles are permitted at the huts due to the potential fire risk. Daisy Lee is a smaller, cosy, intimate hut, great as an overflow from Bob Lee (located next door)

Access for one vehicle to the Meadow or Bob Lee Hut. This only can be used for exclusive bookings or by prior arrangement. Snow Farm NZ reserves to the right to not allow this in the event of adverse weather creating a risk to the trails or vegetation. This is designed to support large groups where it is not physically possible to move all required equipment or if one or more attendees are physically unable to make the trek.

In the event of bad weather and vehicle access being revoked, this does not qualify you for a refund.
